Hook analyser
The first line decides whether anyone reads the second. This runs simple, explainable checks on it. It doesn't give a score, because no tool can honestly predict reach from one line.
How to use it
- Paste a post (only the first line is checked).
- Pick the platform.
- Work through the warnings, then check again.
Why there's no score
Plenty of tools give hooks a score out of 100. None of them can know how your audience will react, so a number would be decoration. These checks are the explainable part: length, vague words, warm-up filler, hype and rhetorical questions.
What tends to work
- Lead with the most specific true detail you have: a number, a name, a result.
- Say the point first and explain it after.
- On LinkedIn, keep the first line short and add a line break, so more of the post shows before "see more".
