Changelog to post
Paste commit messages (git log --oneline works well) or release notes. It strips prefixes, PR numbers and internal chores, groups what's left and gives you a list ready to post.
How to use it
- Paste commit messages, a git log --oneline, or release notes.
- Choose whether to group and whether to keep internal changes.
- Edit the intro line, then copy the post.
Over 280 characters? Use the thread splitter.
What it does to each line
- Removes commit hashes, PR numbers, bullets and conventional-commit prefixes like
feat(billing):. - Sorts lines into New, Improved and Fixed using those prefixes, verbs like "Add" and "Fix", or release-note headings.
- Drops merge commits, version bumps and internal work (chore, ci, test, docs, build) unless you keep them.
- Removes duplicates and capitalises the first letter.
It never adds anything. Commit messages are written for developers, so read the list and rewrite any line a customer wouldn't understand. Prospel's GitHub connection does that step for you: each merged pull request becomes a plain-English note you choose whether to post.
