LinkedIn text formatter
LinkedIn and X posts don't support bold or italics. The usual workaround is Unicode lookalike letters. This tool makes them, and can turn them back into plain text.
How to use it
- Type or paste your text.
- Select the words you want to style (or select nothing to style everything).
- Click a style, then copy the result into LinkedIn or X.
No styled characters yet.

How it works, and the catch
Neither LinkedIn nor X supports rich text in posts. This tool swaps ordinary letters for Unicode "mathematical" letters that look bold or italic. They're different characters, not formatting, which has consequences:
- Screen readers may struggle. Some read each styled letter out individually ("mathematical bold capital H...") and some skip them. Keep styling to a word or two, and never put key information only in styled text.
- Search may not find it. Search inside the platforms, and search engines, may not match styled words to the plain words people type.
- Only letters and some digits change. Punctuation and accented letters stay as they are.
"Make plain" turns styled text back into ordinary letters.
