Engagement rate calculator
Enter a post's numbers from your analytics. You get engagement rate by impressions (how many people who saw it engaged) and by followers.
How to use it
- Open the post's analytics on X or LinkedIn.
- Enter the numbers you have (leave the rest at 0).
- Compare the rate with your own recent posts.

The formulas
By impressions: engagements / impressions x 100. This is the fairer measure of how the post itself did, because it only counts people who saw it.
By followers: engagements / followers x 100. Useful for comparing accounts, but it ignores that many followers never see a given post and that people who don't follow you may.
"Engagements" here is the sum of whatever you enter. Platforms define it differently in their own dashboards (X includes clicks on your profile and media, for example), so a rate is most useful compared with your own past posts using the same inputs. There's no universal "good" engagement rate.
Prospel's free Chrome extension shows views per hour and engagement rate under each post on X, read from the page.
Runs entirely in your browser. Prospel doesn't receive or store anything you enter here.
